Police are seeking witnesses after a 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in Illingworth, Halifax, on Friday night (October 25). The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Raw Lane when the teenage pedestrian was crossing the road.
According to police, the boy was struck by a vehicle, believed to be a black Range Rover, which had turned left onto Raw Lane from Keighley Road. The impact left the boy with multiple injuries, including a broken arm. Shockingly, the driver failed to stop and left the scene immediately after the collision.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are urgently appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage of the vehicle involved.
