Police have launched an urgent appeal for witnesses following a broad daylight shooting on West Bromwich High Street earlier today.
The incident occurred near the junction with Trinity Way at approximately 11.35am. It is understood that shots were fired at a vehicle, prompting a swift response from emergency services. Shortly after the shooting, a man in his 20s arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. He remains in serious condition, according to police.
Officers have cordoned off the area and are carrying out extensive forensic investigations. Increased police patrols have also been deployed across West Bromwich to provide reassurance to the community.
Motorists and pedestrians are being advised to avoid West Bromwich High Street as the investigation is expected to continue into the evening.
