Teen in Critical Condition as Police Launch Investigation
West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Birmingham on Friday night (March 7, 2025).
Emergency services were called to Alum Rock Road, near the junction with College Road, just before 8:45 pm, after paramedics found the boy with serious stab wounds.
He was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Attack Believed to Have Taken Place in Morris Park
Detectives believe the attack occurred in Morris Park, which has been cordoned off as forensic teams examine the scene.
Police Investigation Underway
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Mahon, from Birmingham Police, said:
“This was a really serious attack on a boy, and officers from our Major Crime Unit are working flat out to establish who was responsible.
CCTV and other enquiries are being carried out today, and we’ll have extra officers in the area to offer reassurance.
I’d urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has mobile phone, CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage to get in touch as soon as possible so we can arrest those responsible as quickly as possible.”
