Police have launched an appeal for dashcam and CCTV footage following a violent attempted robbery in Gravesend, which left a man seriously injured.

The incident occurred at around 4:40pm on Sunday (16th March) and began in Rochester Road, where a man riding a Honda motorcycle was allegedly targeted by two men on a black and purple electric bike.

According to police, the suspects kicked the victim multiple times as he travelled through town, forcing him to crash into metal railings on Parrock Road. Following the collision, the suspects reportedly assaulted the rider again and attempted to steal his motorcycle, but fled the scene empty-handed.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries, where he is currently receiving treatment.

Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Kent Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing, and investigators are now calling on the public to help trace the suspects. Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or who may have captured the suspects on dashcam or CCTV footage in the area between Rochester Road, Old Road East, and Parrock Road.

A police spokesperson said:
“This was a shocking and violent attempted robbery in broad daylight. We are asking anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward as soon as possible. Your information could be crucial in helping us identify those responsible.”
