Kent Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a car window was smashed during a shocking daytime incident in Dover, leaving one occupant with minor injuries.
The incident occurred at around 3pm on Saturday, 26 April 2025, in Charlton Green Road Retail Park, a popular shopping destination in the town.
According to reports, the suspect—described as riding a push bike—approached the parked vehicle and engaged in a brief exchange with the car’s occupants. The situation allegedly escalated when the suspect became aggressive and struck the car’s side window with a blunt object, causing the glass to shatter and injure a passenger inside.
Police Appeal for Information
Kent Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time, to come forward.
A spokesperson said:
“We are investigating a serious case of criminal damage and assault that occurred in a busy public area. We are asking members of the public who were in or around the Charlton Green Road Retail Park at the time to check any dashcam or mobile footage they may have.
