Kent Police have launched a witness appeal following a serious road traffic collision near Ebbsfleet Valley that left a cyclist with severe foot injuries and led to the arrest of a 23-year-old woman.
The incident happened at approximately 12.25pm on Saturday, 26 April 2025, on the eastbound carriageway of the A2 Watling Street, near the junction with the A2260 roundabout.
According to police, a red Audi A1 left the carriageway and struck railings at the roundabout. A second vehicle, believed to be a BMW, was also allegedly involved but left the scene without stopping.
Two Cyclists Injured
The collision injured two cyclists who were riding on a shared-use path beside the road.

A man suffered serious injuries to his foot and was transported to a London hospital.

A teenage boy received less serious injuries and was treated locally.
Both have since been discharged and are recovering at home.
Arrest Made
A 23-year-old woman from Swanscombe was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has been bailed pending further investigation.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Investigators are appealing to anyone who saw the collision or events leading up to it to get in touch. They are particularly keen to receive dashcam footage from the area during the relevant time frame.
"We are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision and are asking members of the public who have not yet spoken to police to come forward with any information that may assist our enquiries."
