Police are appealing for witnesses after a child in a pram was struck by a motorbike that crashed into a car and mounted the pavement in Plymouth.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to North Street at around 7.40pm on Wednesday (13 August) following reports of a serious collision.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the crash involved a black and orange KTM RC-125 motorcycle and a red Citroën DS3.
The child was assessed by paramedics at the scene and found to be uninjured. The driver of the car was also unharmed.
The 18-year-old motorbike rider sustained potentially life-changing injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment.
North Street was closed for several hours to allow collision investigators to examine the scene, reopening at around 10.15pm.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said:
“We are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time, to come forward.”
