Victoria Line Delays as Emergency Services Respond
A body was discovered on the tracks at england/england/vauxhall/”>vauxhall/”>Vauxhall station Friday afternoon, halting the busy wales/wales/Victoriavictoria/”>victoria/”>victoria-england/”>Victoria line at peak time. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene around 4.30pm but sadly pronounced the victim dead on site. The incident caused severe delays and partial suspensions, leaving commuters stranded.
Police Rule Out Suspicious Circumstances
British Transport Police confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. A spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Vauxhall Underground station at around 4.30pm on Friday (26 September) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
