A major Birmingham road was partially closed this afternoon after a car overturned in a crash, causing significant disruption and emergency service response in Cotteridge.
The incident happened at around 2.10pm on Saturday, near the Grant Arms pub on Pershore Road, when a blue Mini collided with a parked car and flipped onto its roof, blocking both carriageways.
Emergency Services at the Scene
Photos and videos shared online showed the vehicle lying upside down in the middle of the road, surrounded by police, ambulance, and fire crews. Police cordoned off the area, with tape stretched across the road and traffic brought to a standstill.
West Midlands Fire Service attended to make the vehicle safe, later confirming that the Mini had been put back on its wheels following the incident.
A man in his 50s, believed to be the driver of the overturned vehicle, was taken to hospital, although the extent of his injuries is still being assessed, according to West Midlands Police.
