Oxygen pipeline pressure fault could put lives at risk at Warwick Hospital
A critical incident has been called at an NHS hospital in Warwickshire we can reveal.
Senior hospital managers fear lack of oxygen for covid-19 patients may cost lives.
It comes after a fault with the pipeline pressure within the hospital estate on Lakin Road in the northwest of Warwick.
The fault has started to become service effecting and has become a critial issue on Thursday evening.
One hospital staff member said “oxygen is the new PPE”, referring to the shortages of personal protective equipment for staff
Emergency engineers have been called to site to try and carry out a fix on the issue
