Drivers using the Dartford Crossing should expect overnight closures and diversions as maintenance work continues throughout the first weekend of November. The scheduled works, which began on Monday, October 28, will run until Monday, November 4, affecting both the anticlockwise and northbound tunnels during late-night hours.
The Dartford Crossing, a crucial connection between Dartford in Kent and Thurrock in Essex along the A282 road, will experience various closures and diversions due to necessary maintenance and grillage work. National Highways has outlined the following schedule:
- Friday, November 1 – Saturday, November 2
- Saturday, November 2 – Sunday, November 3
- A282 Northbound West Tunnel Closure: 10 pm – 5 am
- Maintenance work with diversions via the National Highways network.
- Sunday, November 3 – Monday, November 4
- A282 Northbound East Tunnel Closure: 10 pm – 5 am
- Maintenance work with diversions via the National Highways network.
