A significant drugs seizure has been made in Dublin 2, after Gardaí from Kevin Street Garda Station’s Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a targeted search operation yesterday.
During the operation, officers recovered more than €150,000 worth of illegal drugs, including cannabis, cocaine, and benzodiazepines, along with a sum of cash and various items of drug paraphernalia.
One Arrest Made
A male suspect was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at a Garda Station in Dublin City. He is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, which allows for detention for questioning.
Investigation Ongoing
Gardaí have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and further charges may follow as forensic analysis of the seized substances is completed.
A Garda spokesperson said:
“This seizure represents a significant disruption to local drug distribution networks. Our Divisional Drugs Unit continues to target those involved in the supply and sale of controlled substances in our communities.”
