Outbuilding destroyed by fire near Canterbury
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Goldups Lane, Shottenden, near Canterbury, to reports of an outbuilding alight. Three fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended. Crews used a hose reel jet, main jet and water from a hydrant to attack the blaze, preventing flames from spreading to a nearby residential property. The fire, which destroyed the outbuilding, is believed to have started due to an electrical fault. There were no reported injuries.
