Almost three kilograms of cocaine and around £20,000 in cash were seized following the stop of a car near Maidstone. The significant drug haul occurred after officers intercepted a BMW linked to suspicious activity on Tonbridge Road on the evening of Monday, January 20, 2025.
The driver of the vehicle, Aaron Carr, 43, of Ewell Avenue, West Malling, was detained, and an initial search uncovered a small quantity of drugs and over £2,000 in cash. Further investigations led police to a property in West Malling, where a search of a bedroom revealed two large blocks of cocaine. Additionally, officers seized another £19,000 in cash from the premises.
Carr was arrested and charged with possessing cocaine with intent to supply, as well as possessing criminal property, specifically the cash seized. He appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 22, where he was remanded in custody.
His case will be heard at Maidstone Crown Court on February 20, 2025. The discovery of the drugs and money highlights ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat the supply of illegal substances and organized crime in the region.
