Man Dies After Street Fight

On Friday, 26 September at around 12:27pm, officers rushed to england/high-Streetstreet/”>england/high-Streetstreet/”>High Street, Cowley, after reports of a violent fight between two men. Paramedics treated a 62-year-old victim at the scene, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead.

Suspect Held Over Murder

A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody. Detective Inspector Richard Kempshall, leading the inquiry, said:

“My team are working at pace to establish the full circumstances that led to this man’s tragic death. We have arrested a man and no other suspects are being sought at this time. However, we are urging anyone who may have been in the area of Cowley High Street to check any doorbell or CCTV footage and share anything that may be useful with police.”
