A brutal stabbing near Oxford Street has sparked a full murder investigation.
Teen Victim Dies After Market Place Attack
Police were called at 5.38pm on Saturday 8 August after reports of an assault on Market Place, right by the busy junction with Oxford Street, W1.
Officers found a teenage boy suffering from a stab wound. He was rushed by the London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital but was pronounced dead at 7.33pm.
His identity is yet to be formally confirmed, but his next of kin have been informed.
Police Make Three Arrests as Homicide Team Takes Over
The Specialist Crime Command homicide detectives have launched a full investigation into the fatal attack.
So far, three men have been arrested in connection with the stabbing. Police enquiries are ongoing as they piece together what happened.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the stabbing to contact police immediately. Witnesses can call 101, quoting reference Cad 6404/08Aug.
