West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a 59-year-old man’s body at a residence in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield. The victim, who had suffered serious injuries, was found on the evening of Thursday, September 5.
Police responded to a call reporting a sudden death at an address on Park Road at approximately 8:19 PM BST. Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased man, prompting the involvement of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Cox, the Senior Investigating Officer, has appealed to the public for assistance. “We have extensive enquiries ongoing into this incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed or heard any suspicious activity in the Park Road area on Thursday afternoon or early evening,” DCI Cox stated.
Acknowledging the potential impact on local residents, DCI Cox added, “We understand this incident will cause some concern in the community and officers are conducting reassurance patrols in the area.”
