A murder investigation is underway after a man in his 20s was fatally stabbed during an altercation in Hatfield this afternoon.
Police were called at 1:11pm on Sunday (March 23) to reports of a violent incident near Parkhouse Court, where officers discovered the victim with serious stab wounds. Despite emergency efforts, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed, and they are being supported by specially trained officers.
Scene Secured as Police Investigation Intensifies
Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, along with specialist units, remain at the scene, and police cordons are still in place as forensic teams carry out detailed enquiries.
So far, no arrests have been made, and detectives are working urgently to identify the person or persons responsible.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardner, who is leading the investigation, said:
