Police in Nottinghamshire responded to a series of disturbances today, resulting in multiple arrests related to weapons and violence. The initial incident took place on Newgate Lane, where officers were called to deal with a disturbance. A 34-year-old man was apprehended at the scene and arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and affray.
Ongoing Police Operations
As investigations progressed, police attention shifted to Maltby Road, where a protracted operation ensued, lasting several hours and leading to road closures in the area. The operation culminated in the arrest of two more individuals, bringing the total number of arrests to three.
Among those detained was a 36-year-old man taken into custody on charges related to weapons and violence. In addition, a 49-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
