A major crash on the M25 near england/england/lakeside/”>lakeside/”>Lakeside is causing chaos this morning, with miles of snarled-up traffic and lengthy delays. The smash happened around 6am at Junction 30 with the A13 (Lakeside / Purfleet), impacting all clockwise lanes.
Massive Tailbacks and Lane Closures
Traffic isThe entry slip road to the M25 is partially blocked, and queues stretch for two miles. The crash has now spilled into the slip lanes joining from the A13 towards the QE2 Bridge.
National Highways confirms one of three lanes is closed. They predict normal traffic flow won’t resume until between 8:15am and 8:30am on September 29, 2025.
Emergency Services Responding – Avoid the Area
Essex Police and East of England Ambulance Service have been notified and are responding to the incident. Drivers are warned to avoid the M25 near Lakeside if possible to crawling with congestion stretching two miles before Junction 30. The A13 is also hit, with a separate broken-down lorry near Tilbury causing 30-minute waits back to the Baker Street Interchange.
