A motorcyclist in his 30s has tragically died after his bike collided with a tree in Gosport this afternoon.
The fatal incident occurred just after 2pm on Sunday, March 30, on Ford Road. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, the man, who was from Gosport, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that the man’s next of kin have been informed. Officers are now calling on the public to come forward with any information that could aid their investigation.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Gosport today. We were called at 2.05pm to a report that a motorcycle had collided with a tree on Fort Road. Sadly, the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s from Gosport, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.”
Authorities are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision or who witnessed the moments leading up to or following the crash. Dash cam footage from passing vehicles could also prove crucial.
