Motorcyclist Hospitalised After Crash on Ripple Road, Barking

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car on Ripple Road, Barking, which caused significant traffic disruption.

Incident Details

Time: 1:40 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2025
Location: Ripple Road, Barking (westbound from Goresbrook Interchange to Lodge Avenue)
Vehicles Involved: Car and motorcycle
Injuries: Motorcyclist taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Road Closures & Traffic Impact

2 out of 3 lanes were initially closed at 3:00 PM
Ripple Road fully reopened by 3:34 PM
Queuing traffic was reported but has since returned to normal

Police Investigation & Public Advisory

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that they attended the scene and that the injured motorcyclist is receiving medical treatment.

Anyone with dashcam footage or witnesses to the crash is urged to contact police via 101
