Monsor Kazi, aged 54, was sentenced to 13 years and six months’ imprisonment by Snaresbrook Crown Court after being found guilty of seven counts of rape and assault against an underage girl known to him. Victim’s Courage and Witnesses’ Support

The victim’s father reported the abuse to the Metropolitan Police on February 12, 2022. Local officers swiftly responded, and specially trained investigators tracked down Kazi, arresting him on the same day. Detective Constable Chloe James, who led the investigation based at Romford Police Station, praised the victim’s courage in coming forward and the witnesses who supported the case.

Collaborative Efforts

Working closely with colleagues from the Crown Prosecution Service, the police built a robust case against Kazi. Their relentless efforts ensured that he would spend years behind bars. Upon his release, Kazi will be required to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life.
