A man has sadly died following a serious road traffic collision on Purley Road, off Purley Way, late last night.

Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service (LAS), Metropolitan Police, and London Fire Brigade, rushed to the scene after reports of a collision at 11.13pm on Wednesday, 7 May.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer to the scene.
Sadly, a man died at the scene despite the best efforts of our teams.”
Police have cordoned off the area as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A Spokesman for the Met Police said Officers were called at 11.15pm on Wednesday, 7 May following reports of a single vehicle collision Purley Way, Croydon.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service.
The driver, a man in his 20s was sadly declared dead at the scene.
The road remained closed overnight whilst officers carried out enquiries.
