A major fire has broken out at a commercial premises in Erdington, sending thick smoke billowing across the area and prompting a large-scale emergency response.
Just before 4.55pm, Staffordshire and West Midlands Fire Control began receiving multiple 999 calls reporting flames at an office furniture company on Tyburn Road, near the M6 motorway and Spaghetti Junction.
As of 6.30pm, the fire has escalated to require 12 fire engines and around 60 firefighters, with crews working intensively to bring the blaze under control.
