A man has been seriously injured following a stabbing in Birmingham city centre during the early hours of this morning.
West Midlands Police were called to reports of disorder on Exeter Street, just after 3am today (Saturday, March 16). Officers arrived at the scene to find a man in his 20s with stab wounds.
The victim was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Two Arrests Made
Police have confirmed that two men, aged 19 and 20, have been arrested on suspicion of assault. Both are currently in custody as investigations continue.
A police spokesperson said:
“We responded swiftly to the incident and arrested two suspects shortly after arriving on the scene. Our thoughts are with the victim as he receives treatment in hospital.”

West Midlands Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and have urged anyone who witnessed the attack or has any relevant information to come forward.
