A man has died and another has been left with serious injuries following a stabbing in Coventry this afternoon.
Police were called to Newcombe Road at around 2:00pm today, where officers discovered two men with stab wounds. Tragically, one man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other sustained potentially life-changing injuries and has been taken to hospital for urgent treatment.
Major Investigation Underway
West Midlands Police have launched a major investigation into the incident and are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the attack. Officers have cordoned off the area as forensic teams carry out detailed examinations at the scene.
A police spokesperson said:
“This is a deeply shocking incident, and our thoughts are with the family of the man who has tragically lost his life. We are doing everything possible to support them at this time and to understand exactly what has happened.”
Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have information, CCTV, or dashcam footage to come forward.
