A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after being stabbed multiple times in Colindale this afternoon.
Police were called at 1:49pm on Thursday, April 17, to reports of a stabbing near the junction of Kingsbury Road and Old Kenton Lane, NW9. Officers attended alongside emergency services from the London Ambulance Service (LAS).
Swift Emergency Response
A spokesperson for LAS confirmed:
“We were called at 1.48pm today to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Kingsbury Road and Old Kenton Lane.
We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic and a clinical team manager.
Our first paramedic arrived on scene in under three minutes.
We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
The man’s injuries have been assessed as non-life-threatening, but authorities have confirmed they may be life-changing.
No Arrests Yet, Enquiries Ongoing
As of Thursday evening, no arrests have been made in connection with the attack. Detectives are continuing their investigation, and a crime scene remained in place throughout the afternoon.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Enquiries are ongoing and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
