Man in His 20s Dies After Motorbike Crash in Beckton

A man in his 20s has tragically died following a motorbike collision in Beckton, East London.
Emergency services were called at around 11:15am on Tuesday (5 August) to reports of a serious road traffic collision on Royal Docks Road, near the Gallions Reach Shopping Park.
The London Ambulance Service alerted police, and officers attended the scene alongside crews from the London Fire Brigade and London’s Air Ambulance.
The crash involved a single vehicle—a motorbike—that had collided with a roadside barrier. The male rider was treated by paramedics at the scene and then transported to hospital in critical condition.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the man sadly passed away shortly after arrival. His next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Police.
An investigation is now underway by detectives from the Met’s Road and Transport Policing Command.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Beckton. We urge anyone who saw what happened, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact us as soon as possible."
