Police Appeal for Witnesses as Investigation Underway
A man in his 20s was fatally shot in Wolverhampton in what police believe to be a targeted attack.

Officers from West Midlands Police were called to Eastfield Grove at around 3:20 PM on Tuesday, March 4, following reports of a shooting.
Despite bystander CPR and immediate trauma care from paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Investigation and Appeal for Information
West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation and are urging anyone with mobile phone, doorbell, or dashcam footage to come forward.
A dedicated online portal has been set up for people to submit any information, videos, or images to assist the investigation.
Authorities have also increased high-visibility patrols in the area to reassure the community.
MP Calls for Community Support
Pat McFadden, MP for Wolverhampton South East, expressed shock and concern over the shooting:
“This is a deeply troubling incident. The local community will understandably be shaken by such a violent crime. It is vital that we support the police as they work to investigate and bring those responsible to justice.”
Primary School Placed in Lockdown
Due to the proximity of the shooting to Eastfield Primary School, the school was placed into lockdown for 40 minutes as a precautionary safety measure.
The shooting occurred just as students were preparing to leave for the day, prompting immediate action to ensure the security of pupils and staff.
