Detectives investigating the tragic murder of 22-year-old Keelen Morris Wong in Brixton have charged a man in connection with the incident. The investigation unfolded after police responded to a stabbing incident on Coldharbour Lane at 16:44 BST on Tuesday, October 3.
Despite the swift arrival of officers and the London Ambulance Service, Keelen Morris Wong could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers during this difficult time.
Kyiza Sandiford, 23, of Merton, was arrested on the day of the incident, October 3. He is set to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, October 7, charged with the murder of Keelen Morris Wong. Additionally, Sandiford faces charges related to the possession of an offensive weapon.
In connection to the same incident, a 15-year-old boy (referred to as B) was arrested on October 5 on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been released on bail, pending further inquiries, with a scheduled return date in early January.
Another 15-year-old boy was arrested on October 6 on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
