The incident occurred early Monday on the A316 southbound slip road onto the M3, where police and emergency services were dispatched around 12.50am. Upon arrival, one man was pronounced dead at the scene, and another succumbed to his injuries later that day in the hospital.
The victims have been identified as 21-year-old William Birchard from Colnbrook and 22-year-old Darren George from Egham. The loss has stirred the local community, prompting an outpouring of grief and condolences.
Further complicating the case, a 24-year-old woman named Tara Knaggs from Great Ayton, Yorkshire, has been charged with assisting an offender. In addition, two other men, aged 24 from Walton-on-Thames and Feltham in London, were arrested under suspicion of conspiracy to murder. They have since been released on police bail.
