Man Charged with Murder Following Death of Elderly Man in Newham

A man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 79-year-old man in Newham. Philip Fracezek, 20, of Tower Hamlets Road E7, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 17, where he faced charges of attempted murder. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, June 14.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 15, at an address on Plaistow Road, E15. Emergency services responded to reports of an injured elderly man. Despite medical intervention, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Specialist officers have identified the victim’s next of kin and are providing support during this difficult time.

In light of the victim’s passing, authorities are closely collaborating with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to review and potentially amend the charges against Fracezek.
