Man charged with manslaughter of teenager Girl following Stabbed in Camberwell

A man has been charged with manslaughter following the fatal stabbing of a teenage girl at an address in Camberwell. Oluwaseyi Dada (21) of Brisbane Street, SE5, was charged with manslaughter on Friday 13 July at a south London police station. He will appear at south London Magistrates court today (14 July). Police were called at 12:16pm on Thursday, 12 July to a residential address on Brisbane Street to reports of a stabbing. The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended. Despite their best efforts, a 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene at 13:02pm. Her next-of-kin are aware. A post-mortem examination will be held on 14 July. Formal identification awaits. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene. Officers understand that the suspect and victim were known to each other. A weapon has also been recovered. A crime scene remains in place at the address. The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating along with officers from Southwark. Enquiries continue.
