A man has been charged with assault following an incident in Ramsgate that left a man in his 60s with a head injury.
Kent Police were called at 10.41pm on Friday, 28 March, to Harbour Street after receiving a report of an injured person. Emergency services arrived to find a man with a head injury, who was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to a London hospital. The victim remains in a stable condition.
Following initial investigations at the scene, officers determined that the man had been assaulted. A suspect was subsequently identified and arrested in connection with the incident.
Marshall Mitchell, 34, of Crescent Road, Ramsgate, has been charged with unlawful wounding. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 31 March.
