Man Charged Following Serious Assault in Chatham
A man has been charged after a serious assault in Chatham left a victim with a head injury.
The incident occurred on Meadowbank Road at around 3:30 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Patrol officers were called to the scene following reports of a disturbance involving several people.
Details of the Incident
During the altercation, the victim was allegedly struck with an object, resulting in a head injury. South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene and provided initial treatment before transporting the victim to the hospital for further medical care. The victim has since been discharged.
Arrest and Charge
Ashley Richardson, 40, of Luton Road, Chatham, was arrested at the scene and taken into custody. He has been charged with wounding with intent. Richardson has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
