Officers from Dover’s Victim Based Crime Team have charged a man following a reported disturbance in Dover.
Kent Police was called to a premises on Pencester Road at 6.28pm on Thursday 4 April 2024, following a report that staff had been spoken to in an abusive manner and a sign had been damaged.
Officers attended and arrested a man, whom it is alleged later assaulted two police officers.
On Friday 5 April, Douglas Charlesworth, 39, was charged with criminal damage, two counts of assault on an emergency worker, racially aggravated public order and two other public order offences.
Mr Charlesworth, of no fixed address, was remanded to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 8 May 2024.
