A man has been charged following a violent assault at a Headcorn pub that left two victims hospitalised with serious injuries.
The incident occurred at around 11.30pm on Thursday 6 March 2025 at the George and Dragon pub on High Street, Headcorn. According to Kent Police, two men — aged in their 30s and 50s — were allegedly attacked by a group of men during the late-night disturbance.
One of the victims was reportedly punched to the ground and stamped on, while the other was struck on the head. Both were taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Arrests and Charges
An investigation was launched by Kent Police and a 39-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested on 1 April on suspicion of assault. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
A second suspect, Richard Roxburgh, 42, of Beech Gardens, Headcorn, was arrested on 9 April and has now been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH). He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 9 May 2025.
