Man arrested on suspicion of Terrorism offences in East London

Detectives from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command have today, Monday, 6 April, arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of dissemination of terrorist material, contrary to the Terrorism Act 2006.

They arrested the man under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act at an east London police station at approximately  5pm. He is detained in custody at a police station.

Police are searching an address in east London.

Enquiries are ongoing.
