Wiltshire Police have made an arrest in Semington following a report of assault against a woman in her 30s earlier today.
The incident, which occurred around 1:30 pm on June 5, prompted a swift response from various units within the police force. Extensive local enquiries were conducted, and searches were carried out with the assistance of specialized units, including the dog unit and support from the National Police Air Service, due to the challenging terrain.
Following the coordinated efforts, a man in his 30s was located and subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault and affray. Additionally, he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
The suspect has been taken into custody for questioning as the investigation continues.
