A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a disturbing incident in which a woman was dragged from the street and sexually assaulted by a stranger in north London. The arrest took place in Warrington on Saturday, June 29, and the suspect has been transported to London, where he remains in custody.
The incident occurred at approximately 22:25 on Thursday, June 27, when a member of the public discovered a partially clothed woman in Manor Park Gardens in Edgware. According to reports, the victim, also in her 20s, was walking along the road when an unknown man, who had been hiding in a garden, suddenly emerged and forcibly dragged her into the garden. The assailant then sexually assaulted her.
Specialist officers are providing ongoing support to the victim as the investigation continues. Detectives issued a public appeal for information, which ultimately led to the suspect’s arrest. While additional inquiries are ongoing, authorities have confirmed that they are not seeking any other individuals in connection with the incident.
