Detectives have made an arrest in connection with armed robberies that took place at a Tesco Express store in Goring and the Co-op store and Salvington Food Centre in Salvington Road, Worthing. The Tesco incident occurred on Saturday, October 21, at approximately 07:50. The suspect threatened the staff at knifepoint and demanded cash from the till before fleeing the scene.
No one was harmed during the robbery, but the perpetrator managed to escape with £150. Authorities have apprehended a 20-year-old local man on suspicion of committing the robbery at Tesco Express, as well as the two additional robberies reported on Sunday morning, October 22, at the Co-op store and Salvington Food Centre. The arrested individual is currently in police custody.
