A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after allegedly assaulting three people in Dockhead, SE1, on Saturday evening (March 15).
According to police, officers were flagged down by members of the public at around 6:00pm, where they discovered the suspect being detained by bystanders following the violent incident.
The victims include two men, one in his 70s and another in his 20s, as well as a woman in her 70s. All three sustained injuries, although police say they are still awaiting an update on their condition.
The 35-year-old suspect was taken into custody, where he remains as investigations continue.
A police spokesperson said:
“Officers were alerted to an assault by members of the public in Dockhead, SE1. A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody while enquiries are ongoing.”
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the incident was random or targeted, and the motive behind the assault remains under investigation.
