Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a serious building fire on Nursery Grove in Gravesend, with seven fire engines and a height vehicle deployed to battle the blaze.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service Lead Response
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) confirmed they were called to the incident earlier this afternoon and remain on site. Crews wearing breathing apparatus are currently using main jets to contain and suppress the fire.
A height vehicle has been brought in to support efforts in accessing and controlling the upper parts of the building.
All persons have been accounted for, KFRS confirmed in a public statement.
Kent Police Assisting at the Scene
Kent Police are also in attendance, assisting with road closures, public safety and coordination efforts as firefighters continue operations.
A KFRS spokesperson said:
“Seven fire engines and one height vehicle are currently at the scene. Our crews are working hard to contain the fire, and all occupants have been accounted for.”
Ongoing Incident
The fire service has not yet confirmed the cause of the blaze, and the scale of damage to the property is not yet known. Residents nearby have been advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke in the area.
The public is urged to avoid Nursery Grove while emergency services remain at the scene.
