Kent Police has launched an urgent appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision involving a van and a cyclist near Maidstone.
Crash on A229 Linton Road
Emergency services were called to the A229, Linton Road, near Loose, at around 5.33am on Wednesday, 27 August. The collision happened close to the junction with Rosemount Close and involved a white van and a cyclist.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service treated the injured cyclist at the roadside before he was airlifted to a London hospital. His condition has been described as serious.
Police Investigation Underway
Specialist officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are leading the enquiry. They are urging anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with information.
A spokesperson said:
“We are particularly keen to hear from motorists who may have dashcam footage from the A229 between 5.15am and 5.40am. Any detail, however small, could help us establish the full circumstances.”

Police are also appealing to anyone who has not yet spoken to officers at the scene to make contact as soon as possible.
