The temblor, which struck at approximately 10:32AM PST, was widely felt across the region, sending a wave of concern among residents. Many took to social media to report the shaking, describing the sensation as strong and sudden. “It felt like a jolt, followed by a few seconds of rolling,” said one resident of Highland Park. “Glasses and dishes were rattling, but nothing was broken.”
One of the most notable effects of the quake was in a nearby medical building, where workers and patients felt the tremors. “The whole building shook for what felt like an eternity, but was probably just a few seconds,” said a medical assistant who was in the building at the time. “It was alarming, but thankfully, everything seems intact.”
Despite the strong shaking reported in various neighbourhoods, there have been no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries. Emergency services have not issued any warnings, and local authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant but calm.
