French President Emmanuel Macron has announced new parliamentary elections following a significant setback in the European elections. In response to this electoral drubbing, Macron acknowledged the message from the electorate and called for new parliamentary elections in an effort to regain the confidence of the French people. “We must listen to the voice of the citizens,” Macron stated. “It is clear that our message has not resonated as we hoped. New elections will allow us to address their concerns more directly.”
