The M275 motorway has been closed once again this morning due to thick black smoke on the carriageway. The cause of this disruption is an ongoing fire at a waste and recycling facility located on Tipner Lane in Portsmouth.

Earlier today, the road was temporarily reopened with a reduced speed limit. However, the smoke has intensified, rendering the road unsafe for travel. As a result, the M275 is currently closed in all directions, with closures in place from Mile End Road to the Rudmore roundabout.

Emergency services are actively managing the situation, and police are urging commuters to avoid the affected area. Please make alternative travel arrangements while authorities work to resolve the incident.
