Kent Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision between a motorbike and a car on Main Road, Longfield, early Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called at 5:08am to the scene of a serious collision near the junction with Station Road, involving a silver Yamaha MT10 motorcycle and a beige Vauxhall Zafira.
Motorcyclist Dies at the Scene
The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene by South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics. His next of kin has been informed.
The driver of the Vauxhall Zafira was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the investigation and has launched a public appeal for dashcam, CCTV, and eyewitness evidence.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone in the Hartley Road area who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision or who may have relevant CCTV footage,” a police spokesperson said.

- Dashcam or CCTV footage can also be submitted directly via the Kent Police Evidence Submission Portal.
Main Road was closed in both directions for several hours as collision investigators examined the scene.
Police are urging motorists and residents to check their cameras and recall any activity in the area around the time of the crash.
