Loads a Money Drug Dealers Jailed by Guildford Crown Court Judge

A drug dealer who posed on social media with fake wads of cash to pretend he was rich has been jailed by Surrey Police’s Operation Viking. Op Viking has been disrupting cross border drug dealers since October and last Wednesday (May 25) jailed Justin Bruney and Ricky Williams. They were stopped on Tattenham Way, Tadworth on October 18, 2016 by a proactive patrol who after searching their Mercedes found a sock filled with wraps of Class A drugs hidden behind an interior light fitting. A large amount of cash was also found in the car. Analysis of their mobile phones showed they were contacting others about dealing drugs, as well as photos of Bruney posing with large quantities of cash and expensive watches. In a prepared statement in interview Bruney said he often posed for photos on social media with paper and real money to make it look like he’s rich, by putting £20 at the front and at the back with the rest blank paper. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Preston said: “This just goes to show that drug dealing is not a glamorous lifestyle even when criminals are trying to make you believe that it is – and no one likes a show off. “It’s another success for our Operation Viking team who have now achieved jail sentences of more than 20 years since starting this campaign before Christmas. “Bruney and Williams are now both behind bars which means the streets of Surrey are safer with two less dealers preying on vulnerable people.” Bruney, 22, of Erkenwald Road, Barking and Williams, 30, of Davidson Road, Croydon pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis and cocaine. Both appeared at Guildford Crown Court on May 25 where Bruney was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months and Williams to 3 years and 6 months.
